Here is a start on the 2009 calendar. We need your input of ideas/suggestions. Does anything resonate with you? Have we missed your part of the state? Please send an email, log onto the forum , or add to the conversation string....

Second weekend of each month—Do we want Sundays or Saturdays?
April 11 or 12: Let’s go south Travel 56/156 along Ohio River from Lawrenceburg to Madison (Greek Revival Indiana)or do the Lincoln Trail from Troy to Rockport around Lincoln State Park
May 16 or 17: Mounds State Park to Prairie Creek reservoir (Guests of Frank and ByVonda Bauer-Thomas **Frank and ByVonda can't do this at this date--keeping checking--we'll come up with something
June 13 or14: Indiana Lakeland drive from Warsaw to Lake Webster
July 11 or 12: The Underground Railroad drive or the Whitewater Valley drive
Aug 8-9 Tail of the Dragon: You need to register:

Aug. 15 or 16: Sugar Creek: Thorntown through Shades and Turkey Run Sept 12 or 13 Parke County covered Bridges
October 10 or 11—Winery tour?—pick 2 or 3 to visit
October 16-17—color drive regional--Use Columbus as a base; use a hotel and restaurant there; plan a drive over to edge of Brown County on to Jackson County...Would someone like to plan a definite route? The guys at the national organization said they would help us get hotel rates and help with national advertising. It's actually on the national calendar already. **Plans are progressing; Steve has a google map of the proposed drive posted if you would like to comment. Tour of West Baden Hotel a possibility....
November 14-15—The Old National Road (antique shopping??) or we could do part of one of the Indiana Culinary trails--how many tenderloins can you eat??
