Randy and Lisa Black
Six couples and cars met on Saturday, August 14, 2010, to enjoy a ride from Lafayette, IN to Monticello, IN with stops at Tippecanoe Battlefield and Whyte Horse Winery. After enjoying dinner and great conversation at the Sportsman's Inn, we traveled to view the fields of wind turbines in Benton County. Wow! What a sight!
Ride participants included Haley and Dusty Oliver driving a 2008 Black Sky Redline, Sherry Keyser and Jason Ringle in a 2007 Brazen Solstice GXP, Lark Ruch in a 2008 Red Sky Redline, Randy and Lisa Black in a 2008 Mean (yellow) Solstice GXP, Tim and Janet Lange in their 2007 Red Solstice GXP, and Jim and Sharon Stoops in a 2007 Mean Solstice GXP.
Many thanks go to Tim and Janet Lange who planned the ride, printed a great ride folder, and sent the pictures posted in this article.

On December 6, club members enjoyed an afternoon meal at the Ertle's Winery near Batesville.
The drive to the winery was pleasant; the restaurant is attractive; and the food was exceptional. The company was a group of Solstice fans...What more could we want?
January 16, a larger group of members journeyed to Clara's Pizza King in Richmond. Two tablefuls enjoyed a meal and fellowship while seated next to the double decker bus which is part of the restaurant's decor.
Aftewards the group posed for a picture. So did the cars which showed.
Not bad for a cold winter's day....Stay tuned for the spring driving season. We are planning a drive through Dearborn County in April.

We will start our June Roadster Ramble by leaving the Muncie Southside Walmart parking lot (at the stoplight at old highway 3 and 29th Street; east side of lot) about 1:00. We will take the bypass north through Royerton and catch the Eaton-Wheeling Pike through Wheeling and Matthews to Jonesboro where we will pick up highway 15. We will take highway 15 through Marion, Wabash, and Warsaw. We will then start into the lake area past Winona and Tippecanoe to North Webster and circumnavigate Lake Wawasee stopping at Shopoff's Drive-In in Syracuse for some supper. After supper, we will turn back south on Highways 13 and 15 into Marion or Muncie and disperse towards home. The round trip from Muncie will be about 215 miles and about 6.5 hours of travel. We're hoping for some real "Top Down" weather.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 16. It's time to gear up for summer driving. Let's do a drive designed by star-member Steve Hammitte. We will start in his home stomping area and travel down to the river and back with stops at some local wineries. We are not promoting drinking while driving or even drinking in general, but these local businesses usually have some beautiful country sites with nice little gift shops--and restrooms! Steve has spaced these stops rather strategically. Please see the calendar listing "Play in May" for more details.

Welcome to all new comers! Please take a moment to introduce yourselves on our forum so our current folks can respond and share with you. We really want to grow our club and our activities. Perhaps this is the year to stay a little closer to home and enjoy what we have, but we want to share with our friends as well--especially our Solstice and Sky owner friends--even the ones we haven't met yet. So let's all be getting our wheels polished and ready to roll. Can't wait for spring and the end of the salty roads! We hope to see you on our next drive!

Hello GM Roadster Owners and Friends:
We hope you are reading this because you want to join with kindred spirits who own and love GM roadsters (or if you would really like to own one) and want to maximize that enjoyment with socialization through group rides and day trips, car shows and meets, modification parties, racing events, joint-group activities with other clubs, and maybe opportunity to do some charitable work while having fun.
Take a momet to check your preferences in the poll to the right...

Any Solstice needs to breathe better. The answer currently is a K&N air filter. K&N filters are a little more costly, but these filters can be cleaned and reused. K&N data suggest both milage and performance gains are worth the price.
The cold air induction was added to this 2006 Solstice at the time of purchase so is considered factory-installed. This Solstice is owned by Frank and ByVonda Thomas, Anderson, IN.
